Who Is Kelsey Eyers?

Kelsey Eyers started as a health and wellness coach. After years and years of physical and mental battles, Kelsey finally found her balance and happy place in life through healthy eating, exercise, and CBD. Kelsey describes the moment she found CBD as the life-changing:

“The day that I was introduced to CBD, my life was changed in minutes. I remember trying it the first day and being like, ‘Wow.’ I felt like I could breathe for the first time in as long as I could remember. I took a deep breath, and that was it. Since that day, I have not taken anxiety medication … in that same moment of [experiencing] true relief that I’d never felt before CBD [I remember thinking], ‘This is the one thing I could see myself standing behind and truly selling from my heart.’” - Kelsey Eyers

From that experience, Kelsey set out to make the highest quality of CBD products that would be dependable and truly change others' lives. Whether you need some help quieting your thoughts at night so you can fall asleep, recover from a workout, or relief from physical pain, SweatCBD is for you!

The things Kelsey shares today will remind you that no matter what challenges you’re facing, you’re not alone. Success comes to those who prioritize themselves and know how to make something happen even if they have to google their way to the answers. If you're ready for this goodness, keep reading!

Turn Your Trial into Your Triumph

Sometimes it’s the things that we struggle with the most that become the gateway for us to experience the most freedom and healing. Eventually, that freedom and healing become the gifts that we give to the world. But we would never impact the world with our gifts if we didn’t experience those struggles. That’s how it was for Kelsey:

“As a chronic overthinker, my thoughts would often control me. I was really into sports [as a kid] and always had that as an outlet for my anxiety. So, I didn't really pay a ton of attention to [my anxiety] until after I graduated high school. And then I really felt it come on strong. … So I started taking anxiety medication, and I just remember feeling numb.” - Kelsey Eyers

Similar to myself, Kelsey eventually developed an eating disorder and explained that she felt it was her way of trying to gain control of her life. It was about this time she noticed all of her friends had an idea of what they wanted to do with their life that they felt confident about. Because Kelsey was fighting so hard to manage life with anxiety, she couldn’t look past the day she was living. Her lack of dreams and ambition for life led to her feeling alone:

“I was literally trying to live, let alone think about what my biggest hopes and dreams were. So I just remember feeling really, really alone in that I had no idea what my career path would be or where I wanted to live. And so I would make a lot of really bad decisions. I was partying all the time and doing things that set you back so far in the grand scheme of things. I was just living for the day. As time went on, I started naturally healing myself from anxiety through healthy eating and exercise and kind of opening up my mind a little bit more, but that anxiety was still there, and I was still taking those medications.” - Kelsey Eyers

Kelsey’s journey to healing and mental freedom changed dramatically the day she was introduced to CBD. She described it as “being able to breathe for the first time in a long time” and, better yet, hasn’t taken her anxiety medications since! Not only did her physical and mental state change that day, but also her career path. Being a self-proclaimed “world’s worst employee” finally made sense, and Kelsey set out to build a business that helped others experience the life-changing power of CBD.

“It was like an instant passion. And I knew if anybody had even a quarter of the relief from this product that I just did, it would be totally worth it because it truly changed my life at that moment. And because of clearing my mind and physically healing my body from all the damage I had done to it in years prior, it changed the entire trajectory of my life. In [less than] two years ... it has gone from selling 50 tincture bottles to my friends and family to what it is [today, a multi six-figure business]. It's really crazy! And again, it wouldn't have happened had I not found what I was really, really passionate about for personal reasons.” - Kelsey Eyers

Do you see the triumph in Kelsey’s struggle? Because Kelsey struggled with anxiety for so long and hated her medications, she’s now passionate about the physical and mental benefits of CBD. She’s able to clearly communicate them in a way that people understand because she’s experienced their same struggles.

You might not know why you’re going through what you’re going through right now, but nothing is wasted. Whether past or present, your struggle could be the launching pad for a life-changing gift to the world!

How to Do Something You Don’t Know How to Do

Bringing a life-changing product or service to the world is often overwhelming. When Kelsey started SweatCBD, she went into a brand new industry, not to mention that her product was a consumable form of CBD. It was like she was on an obstacle course, making her way through legalities and selling and packaging and mindful marketing. Even though the CBD significantly decreased Kelsey’s anxiety, starting a business brought on a whole new level of stress. But that didn’t stop her. Almost two years later, she runs a multiple six-figure business. She said:

“I remember sitting there on my couch the first day I decided I was going to do this, and I was like, ‘Um, okay. So like the literal where the hell do I start?’ And I came to my computer and was like, ‘Google, how to start a business?’ … “[I literally googled everything], and then it was just knocking out the most basic of steps, like calling legal zoom and being like, ‘I need to start a business. How do I do it?’ … The first couple of months were pretty slow for me. Like I said, I had 50 tinctures, and it took me like four months to sell them because I was having to really educate people on what CBD was in the first place.” - Kelsey Eyers

I want your full attention for a second: Most successful entrepreneurs you look up to didn’t know what they heck they were doing when they started. They didn’t just get lucky, know all the right things to do, or knew all the right people. Just like Kelsey, they were driven by a vision to make an impact and an income. Kelsey describes it as “hanging in there until things start to click”:

“But I hung in there and once I kind of got over my personal barrier that's when things kind of started clicking, I realized that like, I'm probably my own worst enemy right now. And feeling like the little fish in the huge sea in the CBD world and then eventually being like, ‘You know what? I have an amazing product. I have a like very relatable story to so many people and just putting myself out there will sell my product’. That’s kind of when everything changed. But yeah, it was a very slow start. So just don't give up.” - Kelsey Eyers

If you want to know what you’re capable of, dig your heels in, start asking questions, and don’t give up until you’ve reached your goal. Kelsey said if she could go back and change anything about her journey to success, it would be to wait for less and just do stuff.

“You just have to like start doing things. I held myself back so much from overthinking and thinking I would start this when I would put myself on a podcast when I would go set up at a trade show when. ... But that's not what people are looking for. Nobody's looking for perfection. They're looking for bit relatability, especially in this kind of an industry where people are usually coming to you because they have a problem. If I could change anything [about when I started my business], it would be, just do more because otherwise, you're just wasting time. Besides, you're gonna learn from it, right?” - Kelsey Eyers

I totally agree with Kelsey. Taking messy action is literally the only cure for uncertainty in your business! Sure, you might not know how to start a business, scale to six figures, or run a successful marketing campaign, but waiting around won’t teach you how to do it either! Get clear on what you want to do, start doing stuff, and don’t give up!

Why You Need to Prioritize Yourself If You Want to Be Successful

Many of us were raised to believe that we’re supposed to fill other people's cups up before we fill our own. We were raised to believe that we're meant to help people. And we absolutely are — that’s why I teach people how to start a business for impact AND income — but never at the expense of ourselves. Your income and business only grow to the extent that you grow personally.

In other words, your energy is your superpower. If you want to be successful, you need to learn how to protect your energy. Kelsey is a superhero at this, and her business bears the evidence:

“I don't know if this makes me a selfish person, but I've really always been good … [at making] time for the things that I know will make me feel good. … I know if I just rush into my day, for like one day, maybe I'll get like a little bit more done, but I'm not going to be the person that is going to be able to show up for the people that need my help answering questions. … People need the best me. And so I have to make sure that I am, you know, putting my best into bettering me.” - Kelsey Eyres

I don’t think making time for the things that make Kelsey feel good makes her selfish. In fact, I often say, “I am the most important person in my life.” My husband is a very close second, but if I'm not taking care of myself, I can't live out my purpose, much less take care of others!

Why You Need to Listen to This Episode Right Now...

Gosh, there are so many useful nuggets and applicable lessons that Kelsey shared in today’s message. She is the real deal and such a light in the world. If there’s an entrepreneur you should aspire to be like, it’s Kelsey. She is driven by her why, committed to making an impact in the world, and dedicated to her personal growth. Also, when she buys clothes from Amazon, they look AH-mazing, as opposed to my Amazon purchases that look like paper bags.

I love that I get to cheer Kelsey on, and I hope you all take the time to follow her on Instagram (@kelsey.eyers) and soak up some of her glorious energy! Be sure to check out her products from SweatCBD and add them to your life — I can personally vouch for them being some of the best supplements out there. I even have to hide them from my husband sometimes because they’re so good!

Alright, Tribe, that’s a wrap for today. Enjoy your weekend, and get ready to crush another week!

I’ll talk to you guys later,
